The Mutate Britain catwalk for Rachel Freire last Saturday was an interesting experience - first time I've ever done a show outdoors at 8.30pm on a slightly wet stage in 8 inch platforms. The word freezing does not quite communicate the level of cold. I was glad for the 8 inch heels though; the other models were all 6ft in their bare feet so we kinda balanced out! lol. It was pretty difficult to walk with cold-numb limbs but the clothing was fantastic. I don't have any runway pics yet but I found a shot I did afterwards posing on one of the many artworks by the Mutiod Waste company:

I missed the guys name but I think he was working on the Engineers of Desire stand that was next to this particular vehicle. Photo is by Philip Volkers.
I need to find some shots of the mechanical fire breathing bull that they had walking around the exhibition too, it is possibly one of the coolest things I have ever seen! While I'm here and on the subject, thought I'd also post a studio shot of the leggings I wore for the show! :) Made by Lady Lucie and designed by Rachel for her SS/10 collection. The armour and mask are by Manuel Albarran.

Haven't really been up to much else lately. There's been a lot of hibernation and general hiding from the cold. I went to see Avatar last week, which I'm very happy to say totally lived up to the hype. Absolutely stunning visually and very very emotive. This afternoon I went to the Tate Modern, which mostly confirmed for me the fact that I just don't 'get' a lot of modern art. There were a few visually interesting bits though - particularly the Pop Life exhibition, which included a Takashi Murakami music video of Kirsten Dunst in cosplay outfit singing "I'm turning Japanese". Nom.
Actually looking forward to Christmas/NYE this year... I haven't really been that bothered one way or the other about Christmas for quite some time, but 2009 has been an exceptionally wonderful year for me and I'm really excited about celebrating it! I shall be doing a fashion show for Blacklikorish Latex at the Torture Garden New Years Eve Ball. I imagine there will be much merriment and devious fun!

I made this photo for the cover of the first Croatian translation of Ian Fleming's "James Bond - Live And Let Die". This is my third James Bond Book cover.

Found this location by accident and my what a find. Introducing the beautiful
spangle_kitten , together with Blaze, made our way to this council flat which has been ear-marked for demolition early Jan. Nothing can quite prepare one for the surprise when entering this strange world.
Seizure is a sort of sci-fi nightmare in Southwark, we tried to capture both the beauty of the crystals along with the madness of this art piece by Roger Hiorns.
Thanks to Blaze and SpangleKitten for braving the freezing cold to do this set.

Today I've finished another square still life with frontal view from above.
Quite tempting thing for me to paint :)

Ealier in this series: "Still life with Chronos" и "Still life with stripy tablecloth".

As mentioned before, four beautiful women gave me the opportunity to photograph them with a sleek powerful Mustang. One of these ladies was Raven. She had modeled years before and been a performer, but several children interrupted things a bit.

Resistance Rising went pretty well for a first time event. Considering my total lack of preparation I managed to sell out of 2 postcard designs and sold most of the stickers too. Next time I will be making a far greater effort with presentation of my stuff! Was really impressed with some of the other creations I saw on show (in particular I grabbed business cards from Celia Arias Gonzalez and Atome Fabrik and a lovely jewellry maker called Mariana Abella whose website is eluding my google hunting!).
Aaand back to modelling stuffs.. after something a month without any shoots booked, this week has somehow turned into crazy busy shootfest. Today we managed to cram 3 models and 8 outfits into 3 hours of shooting time, mixing up fantastical creations from Ada Zanditon, Freyagushi, Rachel Freire and Manuel Albarran. My favourite piece was reminiscent of a Pachycephalosaurus (and I had to hold back on the urge to charge head first at walls and models and such in a fit of excitment).
Tomorrow I'm shooting again for Bibian Blue corsets. The themes are secret for now but it's something I've never done before (which is a harder task than you would think!). Then wednesday modelling for Jane Doe Latex (whee!). Saturday I shall be in attendance at Mutate Britain's 'One Foot In the Grove' winter exhibition, walking in a fashion show for Rachel Freire. Would be awesome to see London-folk in attendance! ;)
Thought I'd also post some pics I found from the Lady Lucie fashion show at the Torture Garden Xmas fashion show last week. I seem to be becoming more and more light weight with regards to alcohol, as I managed to accidently get horribly drunk before the show and had to be slapped in the face several times (at my own request. haha) before I could see well enough to go on stage. Apparently I was a pretty good Nutcracker though and managed to feign soberity fairly well.
Sorry I'm too lazy to resize 'em ><
In other news, I watched the Buffy musical episode again a couple of days ago and still can't get the songs out of my head. Let me rest in peace.

Back in October, I got the chance to photograph four extraordinary ladies. Lindsey is a new comer to pin-up but she's got amazing potential.
